Splatter have always advocated a certain approach to merchandising. We have seen many clients in the past decide they are going to send their POS into stores and allow the retailer to put it on display. Definitely a cheaper option, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, retail staff are usually too busy or unable to put POS out where it should be or it cannot be found in their vast warehouses, and any non-compliant stores hugely effect sales as the POS sent in is always a key driver in creating new sales.
Our approach has always been to send us the POS. We then handle the pick, pack and dispatch but here is the difference – we send the materials to our installers, not the stores. In turn, the installer receives the POS, loads up their car, heads to stores, walks the materials through the front door and installs it. By utilising this approach, we have taken product compliance levels from an average of 40% (clients sending POS to store) to 92% when we walk it in and install it.
